Holy Moly Expensive

I recently bought several things
That I’ve wanted for years

The main reason I never decided to
Buy them is because they’re “pricey”

The way I see it:
When purchasing a watch
$100 = Inexpensive
$500 = Expensive
$1000 = Holy moly
$50,000 = Good mother of god!

The things I bought
Are in the "holy moly" category, and
I’m still not quite sure how to feel about the price

I absolute adore having these beautiful items
But the price is still haunting me a bit

I was watching a show last night and
A lady said her favorite quote was
“Buy cheap, buy twice”
Which I don’t fully agree with

I think there’s a 50/50 chance
When purchasing cheap or expensive

The price of an item is not reflective
Of the cost of the item,
Which also means it doesn't reflect quality or durability

I’ve bought inexpensive items which have lasted me many years
and I’ve bought expensive items which have lasted one year

When purchasing expensive items
Durability and quality go out of the window

I think that
When a person decides to spend $2000 on a purse
They’re doing it because of the intrinsic value they receive
e.g.
Exclusivity, brand recognition, and lifestyle association
And I guess the real question is
"Is it worth to pay the high ticket price for these values?"

Honestly, I don't think so
However, I'm still not 100% sure
